UKTI Algeria
- In the face of continued globalisation and rising competition, keeping up with technological change has become essential. To ensure people acquire the necessary skills to compete in a modern economy, Algeria is increasing the use of the right equipments in education.
- Plans are ongoing to equip schools and educational institutions with adequate equipments. The Centre for the Supply and Maintenance of Teaching Equipment (CAMEMD) is in charge of the acquisition of equipments on behalf of the Ministry of National Education. In 2012 CAMEMD equipped 2251 middle and primary schools with computers, it was worth £25 million.

- The Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region is devoting considerable resources to the teaching of English at schools, in the workplace and in the wider community in order to maintain Hong Kong’s status as Asia’s World City.
- English language is very popular amongst Hong Kong young learners, and British English is valued by parents when choosing courses for their children.
- Home learning resources, particularly high-end English learning resources designed for young learners, are highly sought-after by Hong Kong educators.

- Promotion of e-learning in schools is high on the Government’s education agenda, including the development of e-learning resources for the enhancement of learning and teaching. The Government’s total grant to schools for ICT resources is £24 million p.a.
