UKTI Thailand Thailand

  • There is a need to improve language skills in Thailand. Thai is the official language in Thailand. Most public schools conduct classes in Thai and English is taught only 2-3 periods per week. This results in low English language competency in Thai students.
  • Thailand is facing vocational skills shortages as the country is moving toward a high value manufacturing economy. The government aims to increase the number of students enrolling in vocational education and to provide higher quality vocational training.
  • Thai students and teachers are still used to the classroom learning therefore, there is room to promote e-learning
  • There is a pressing need to enhance teacher skills to cope with fast changing IT program
